Humbled as a humming bird.
The rebirth of the flowers,
from April and May showers,
blossoming with the spiritual shine,
to bring out the fragrance of divine;
when nature becomes humid yet blissful,
this life once again becomes beautiful.
A sense of freedom flows through the air,
as the warm breeze alleviates care;
a period where time grows wings and flies by,
as caterpillar changes to butterfly.
Outside the bubble this will be seen,
brown to green, witnessing in between.
Brightening color giving clear visions,
of the consequences of decisions.
New experiences enter the spinning mind,
and swirl around and around until I unwind.
Energy disappears until to
inside the burning streets voices die to be heard,
the abuse of power is the best they get,
kill an innocent human, stoke their egos,
they face no consequences while losing my respect,
think their so high and mighty, we see right through them,
the families get no justice, while they get to sleep peacefully
who the fuck do you think you are ?
so untouchable, yet rock bottom is where you live,
your authority is undeserved, it’s full of shame,
embarrassing to our falling apart country.

the decent: a series of poems about a man who slowly goes mad
#1
early and bright,
nature’s alarm clock going off,
the twisted education awaits me today,
a place full of personality and unique satisfying trouble,
there waiting for me,
notebook and pen, past connections and current bonds,
the educators still haven’t learned,
some faces light up my own,
some faces are nightmarish dreams,
here i go getting by,
the weight of it, not too much to handle.
#2
a wish, for certain words to be said to you,
i love the shine from the sun on your face,
beauty gifted to you by nature,
i love the sound of your laugh,
most beautiful not
a light flashed before my eyes,
and there weren’t any cries,
a wave traveled through my body,
a note from a simple somebody,
beautiful sounds to my ears,
including all the cheers,
took me to a place i’ve never been,
and it left me with a shinning grin,
i was given a feeling i’ve never felt,
i could have sworn i saw the asteroid belt,
maybe it was silly imaginations,
or perhaps the music was full of foundations,
left me in a dream state of mind,
to everything else i was blind.
